About This Festival

Argao's festival is named for tostado, the hard sweet biscuit the town has baked for generations, and it doubles as a thanksgiving for the harvest.

It is a one-day, one-plaza affair in front of one of the best-preserved colonial churches in Cebu — which is most of the reason to come.

What to Expect

  • A single afternoon of dancing on the plaza
  • Tostado and torta sold from stalls around the church
  • A quiet town the rest of the weekend

Getting There

Ceres bus from Cebu South Bus Terminal toward Bato via Oslob, about two and a half hours. Argao is on the highway; the plaza is a short walk from the stop.
