Minglanilla Cebu is located  in southern of Cebu , southwest of  Naga cebu, northwest of Toledo City, northeast of  Talisay City; and southeast of Bohol Strait. This place is  known as the Sugat Capital of the south. In history , the word  Buat was its name before but it was change  to Minglanilla by the  rule  of  the  Spanish time and has its own legend at Barrio Linao, called a fascinating town.

They found out the bay was disappeared in a flood and accidentally transformed into a  spirits or anitos. Aside from the history and legend, they have also industries like entrepreneurs, professionals, skilled workers and their source of  livehood are farming and fishing.
