Pitlagong Festival

Pitlagong Festival emphasize the manananggot tuba gatherers in which pitlagong means a bamboo instrument used to clean the sugong, a bamboo container used in collecting tuba coconut wine. Tubais a traditional Filipino drinking and this tuba will not taste good without the pitlagong. In this festival they celebrate through a parade, a street dancing and a ritual showdown competition, in honor of Argao's patron Saint, Michael the Archangel. This festiival is located in Argao with it’s cultural heritage to promote tourism industry. This place is known for a Torta (native cake) specialty and other dishes include humba, bibingka and kinilaw.
