Bantayan Beach Resorts Guide

Bantayan Island, north of Cebu mainland, Philippines, has one of the longest natural white sand coastlines in the region. To get to Bantayan, one needs to drive three hours from Cebu City along the scenic north coastal road passing through the towns of Liloan, Compostela, Danao, Carmen, Catmon, Sogod, Bogo and before reaching Hagnaya Port in San Remigio. From the port it is a one hour boat ride to Santa Fe Port in Bantayan Island.
The beach resorts in Bantayan are located along the curved white sand shoreline north and south of the pier. Towards the north, there's Alice beach where you can find Santa Fe Beach Club and Beach Placid. Towards the south is Santa Fe beach you can find Hoyohoy Villas, Kota Beach Resort, Yooneek Beach Resort, Budyong, Marlin's and more. Further away are Ogtong Cave Resort and Maia's Beach Resort. Ogtong Resort has a cave within its grounds where you can swim in.
Average budget accommodations in Bantayan range from PhP 600-800 for non-airconditioned cottages to PhP 1300-1500 for air-conditioned cottages. During the Holy Week around March or April the prices usually double as local tourists flock to the island during the long weekend. There are also higher-priced accommodations from PhP 2000 - 5000 such as those in Ogtong Cave and Hoyohoy Villas.
Restaurants in the island are located within the resorts along the coastline or along the street at the back of the beach. You can also drive to the nearby wet market to sample some local food. While staying in Santa Fe town in Bantayan, you may want to take a short thirty minute trip by car to Madridejos town, the northern tip where you can find a lighthouse, an old fort and a fishing village.
